About
Boretro London is a one-woman business, run entirely by me. I source, curate, photograph, write, and ship every piece myself.
I grew up in a small town in the French countryside, where standing out wasn't welcome. Fashion pulled at me anyway, but it was only when I moved to London that my style came into its own, a city where being different is celebrated, and still where I draw my inspiration.
The adventure actually began at Etsy, where I worked as a Seller Growth Manager. To understand our sellers, I started selling on the marketplace myself. This experience reshaped how I shopped: sourcing thoughtfully, choosing second-hand over new, investing in pieces with longevity and meaning. Boretro London grew from there.
The name tells the story: "BO" nods to the French *beau* (beautiful) and carries my son's and husband's initials; "Retro" for garments with history and craftsmanship; "London" for the city where it all started.
The collection is built on classic foundations: tailored blazers, silk blouses, a great trench in black, cream and neutrals, alongside pieces with real character, all vintage from the 1920s to the 90s, designer and unbranded side by side.
Boretro London is for women who already know themselves, who value quality over quantity and want to shop sustainably without compromising their style. At its core, it's about slow fashion, thoughtful choices, and trusting yourself to choose well.
